Camping Hire WA is a family-run caravan, camper trailer and 4WD camper hire business based in Craigie, Perth.

We help local families, couples and international travellers explore Western Australia with reliable, practical and well-equipped camping setups.

Our fleet includes Jayco caravans and camper trailers, a custom-built Toyota Hilux 4WD camper and an LDV T60 tow vehicle available with our caravans.

Whether you are planning a family holiday in the South West, a coastal road trip to Exmouth or a more remote 4WD adventure, we can help you choose the most suitable setup for your trip.

The Face Behind Camping Hire WA

Hi, I’m Alex, the owner of Camping Hire WA.

I moved to Australia from Rome in 2009 and soon developed a passion for camping, road trips and exploring Western Australia.

After travelling along the WA coast and experiencing some of the state’s most incredible destinations, I realised that many people wanted to enjoy the same type of adventure but did not own a caravan, camper trailer or suitable 4WD.

I created Camping Hire WA to make these experiences more accessible, with straightforward bookings, practical equipment and personal support before and during each trip.

As a family-run business, I am personally involved in preparing the equipment, explaining how everything works and helping customers choose the right setup for their journey.

The setup includes a rooftop tent, slide-out kitchen, fridge, electrical system, solar power and water storage, providing a practical option for longer self-drive adventures.

Tow Vehicle Hire

Travellers who want to hire one of our caravans but do not have a suitable towing vehicle may also be able to hire our LDV T60.

The T60 is available exclusively with selected Camping Hire WA caravans and is not offered as a standalone vehicle for towing privately owned caravans.

Great experience with Alex and WA Camping Hire. We hired the Jayco Expanda for 4 weeks, travelling up to Exmouth and Karijini. We were equipped with everything we needed and able to be off grid for half of the trip. Our trip was full of memories we will cherish forever.

We recently hired the Jayco Lark for a trip up North.We are a family of 4 and we totally loved it!Easy to set up and very light to tow.
It came furnished with all the essentials for camping and extra accessories if needed.
Alex was extremely helpful explaining how to set up , flexible on pick up and drop off times and prompt to reply to any questions we had. We have some amazing memories thanks to Robin and we will definitely use camping hire WA again in the future!

Van was extremely clean and well looked after, we were away for nearly three weeks off grid and never lost power or gas. Only had to fill up the water tanks twice and we showered every night. It rained for a few days and no leaks! Alex is a super helpful man! Could not recommend these guys more:)

I can't find the words to describe our experience with this company and their Hilux 4wd.
We rented for 4 weeks and drove 7000km up north in Western Australia and it was one of best trip of our lives.
The Hilux got everything we needed and more, completely self sufficient with power and water and really easy to use with the complete explanation at the handover with Alex.
Looking forward to do again in the future.

We had this car for two months and would book it again without hesitation — it was the perfect vehicle for exploring Western Australia. From the moment we booked the car until the very end of our trip, Alex was always available, helpful, and incredibly friendly. No matter the question or situation, he was there to support us.

The vehicle itself is a unique custom-built setup and clearly stands out from the standard campers you usually get from other rental companies. With the larger fuel tank, all the extra features, and the thoughtful design, it is simply perfect.

The car was in excellent condition and perfectly equipped for long-term travel. It had everything we needed to comfortably stay off-grid for extended periods without worrying about electricity, water, or fuel.

Without a doubt, this is by far the best rental vehicle for a West Coast.

We hired a pop up camper trailer from Alex for our trip to Exmouth, Coral Bay and Kalbarri. His communication was superb. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone considering hiring a camper trailer. The van itself was perfect for our family of 3.
